Heartmoves Exercise Session - Nanango
A free Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. Kingaroy Lions Club Dinner Meeting
The Kingaroy Lions Club will be holding their bi-monthly Dinner Meeting at the Kingaroy Hotel at the corner of Haly and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy (opposite McDonalds) from 6:30pm onwards tonight. Summer Soccer 7s - Kingaroy
The weekly summer Soccer 7s competition will be held at 6:30pm this evening at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy (ie the Kingaroy soccer grounds). The competition is open to players of all skill levels and abilities, and players who weren't registered for the 2012 season can pay a $25 social registration which will cover them until December 31. Spirit Of The South Burnett Community Round Table - Wondai
- A Community Round Table will be held at the Wondai RSL's Centaur Room in Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 6:00pm to 9:00pm this evening as part of preparations for the "Spirit of the South Burnett Festival" being held in Nanango in February 2013. The Round Table will provide an opportunity for Wondai area residents to talk about their journey from the 2011 floods and discuss how it has influenced their lives today. These stories will be used in a number of ways to build strategies that will ensure any future local disasters are survivable and recovery is made as easy as possible. Night Markets - Kingaroy
- The inaugural Kingaroy Night Markets will be held at the Arts and Heritage Precinct in Haly Street, Kingaroy (ie behind the Visitor Information Centre) from 4:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. The markets will feature local arts and craft stallholders and local produce providers. One highlight of tonight's markets will be the launch of the Hand Made In The Country website; and another will be the display of the South Burnett Regional Council's art collection at the Kingaroy Art Gallery - the first time the collection has been seen in one place since the forced council amalgamations of 2008.
