Heartmoves Exercise Session - Nanango
A free Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. Summer Soccer 7s - Kingaroy
The weekly summer Soccer 7s competition will be held at 6:30pm this evening at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy (ie the Kingaroy soccer grounds). The competition is open to players of all skill levels and abilities, and players who weren't registered for the 2012 season can pay a $25 social registration which will cover them until December 31. Community Kitchen Meeting - Blackbutt
If you live in (or near) Blackbutt, are interested in cooking affordable and nutritious meals and would like to get together with a group of like-minded individuals on a regular basis to socialise and cook food, RHealth and the South Burnett Regional Council will be holding their monthly Community Kitchen meeting at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall from 10:00am and 12:00 noon today. Community Kitchens are owned and driven by participants, who make all the decisions about running the group; how often it meets and what will be cooked. In general, your only cost will be to pay for your share of the ingredients used in any cook-up - but to kick the kitchen off, the SBRC will supply the funding for the first 10 cooking sessions.
