South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Spirit Of The South Burnett Community Round Table - Blackbutt
A Community Round Table will be held at the Blackbutt Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 6:00pm to 9:00pm this evening as part of preparations for the "Spirit of the South Burnett Festival" being held in Nanango in February 2013. The Round Table will provide an opportunity for Blackbutt area residents to talk about their journey from the 2011 floods and discuss how it has influenced their lives today. These stories will be used in a number of ways to build strategies that will ensure any future local disasters are survivable and recovery is made as easy as possible. Note: Similar sessions will be held in Nanango (20th), Murgon (24th), Kingaroy (27th) and Wondai (28th) to gather the views of residents in those towns too.
Wondai Swimming Club Meeting
The Wondai Swimming Club will be holding their regular Monday Club Night at the Wondai Swimming Pool in Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 6:00pm onwards this evening. Wondai SES Meeting
The Wondai SES will be holding their regular Monday night training meeting at the SES shed in McCord Street, Wondai between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. New members are very welcome and you can obtain more information about becomiong an SES volunteer by phoning Dean on (0409) 480-553
Community Kitchen Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Community Kitchen will be meeting at Graham House at 27 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The Community Kitchen meets every Monday during school terms. Members learn how to cook simple, healthy foods in a communal environment; how to read and understand food labels; and how to save money by modifying recipes. New members are always welcome! Monday Taekwon-do - Nanango
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program in conjunction with Bai Rui Takekwon-do will be running a gold coin donation taekweon-do session at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango from 10:00am to 11:00am this morning. Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held in the Blackbutt Community Hall on the D'Aguilar Highway at Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening. There'll be 16 games overall as well as two continual jackpots. Everyone is welcome.
Cards & Bowls Afternoon - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be holding their regular Monday afternoon indoor bowls and cards competitions at their centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy (opposite Super IGA) from 1:00pm onwards today.
