SES Truck Load Of Thanks Tour - Murgon
- This week is 2012 SES Week, and the South Burnett's SES groups will be marking it with a "Truck Load Of Thanks" tour of the region's major towns. Today the Tour will kick off at the Murgon Visitor Information Centre in Lamb Street between 7:30am and 9:30am with a free community sausage sizzle, live entertainment by Casey Barnes, a talk by Dr Samuel Stevens about disaster safety, and free Disaster Ready kits for everyone who comes along. Crow-FM 90.7's popular Breakfast Show will also be broadcasting live on site, and everyone is welcome! This Wednesday has also been designated nationally as "Wear Orange Wednesday", and if you'd like to show your support for the South Burnett's SES men and women, you can wear something orange (socks, tie, scarf etc) to show it.
Note: Similar Tour pit-stops will be held at Wondai, Kingaroy, Nanango and Blackbutt from tomorrow to Friday.
Nanango Show Society Meeting

Community Kitchen Meeting - Murgon
- The Murgon Community Kitchen will be meeting at Graham House at 27 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The Community Kitchen meets every Monday during school terms. Members learn how to cook simple, healthy foods in a communal environment; how to read and understand food labels; and how to save money by modifying recipes. New members are always welcome! Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt

Annual Nurses Reunion - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Past and Present Nurses Association will be holding their annual reunion morning tea at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) from 10:00am onwards this morning (doors open at 9:30am).
