Kingaroy Swimming Club Meeting
The Kingaroy Swimming Club will be holding their regular Tuesday Club Night meeting at the Kingaroy Swimming Pool at the corner of Alford and William Streets, Kingaroy from 6:00pm onwards this evening. Note: Entry to the pool is via the side gate in William Street if the main entry is closed. And in case of wet weather - or any other apparent reason for cancellation - contact can be made with the pool staff after 5:00pm on the day to check if the Club Night will be conducted.
Kingaroy Writers Association Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Writers' Association will be holding their twice-monthly meeting between 9:30am and 12:00 noon this morning at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Alford and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy. Members meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month to share their work with other members and take part in writing and word exercises. Membership is just $5 per annum and meetings are $2 to cover tea and coffee (bring a plate for a shared morning tea experience). New members are always very welcome! More details? Kingaroy Chamber Of Commerce and Industry AGM - Kingaroy

Spirit Of The South Burnett Community Round Table - Nanango
A Community Round Table will be held at the Nanango Cultural Centre Supper Room in George Street, Nanango from 6:00pm to 9:00pm this evening as part of preparations for the "Spirit of the South Burnett Festival" being held in Nanango in February 2013. The Round Table will provide an opportunity for Nanango area residents to talk about their journey from the 2011 floods and discuss how it has influenced their lives today. These stories will be used in a number of ways to build strategies that will ensure any future local disasters are survivable and recovery is made as easy as possible. AFL 9s Competition - Kingaroy
The new South Burnett Saints AFL team will be holding the fifth round of an AFL 9s competition at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. AFL 9s is a nine-a-side non-contact game which features mixed sides of men and women (as well as children aged 13 and over) and is suitable for players of all abilities. Everyone is welcome. The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be running three gold coin donation activities in Nanango today: Yoga at Pioneer Park from 9:00am to 10:00am; Lawn Bowls at the Nanango Bowls Club in Henry Street from 10:00am to 11:00am; and Rapid Dance at Pioneer Park, also from 10:00am to 11:00am. Business Building Course - Kingaroy and Murgon
The South Burnett Regional Council and Transforming Smsll Business will be presenting the second of a five-week series of workshops on building a businress at the Kingaroy Town Hall Supper Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 11:0am this morning; and again at Gumnut Place in Gore Street, Murgon from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. The course is being presented by Trudi Bartlett and will focus on many aspects of business building including staff motivation; increasing sales; staff training and development; and marketing and advertising. South Burnett Youth Choir Open Rehearsal Evening - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Youth Choir will be holding an Open Rehearsal Evening at the Booie Bello Vista restaurant at the corner of Haydens and Schellbachs Road in Booie from 5:30pm to 8:00pm this evening. The Youth Choir will be performing the first half of their evening at the Distillety conference building (from 5:30pm to 7:00pm) before moving into main restaurant for a second perforemance and a light meal from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Choir members, their parents and friends, and anyone who'd like to see the Youth Choir in action are very welcome, and there's no charge to attend - just pay for any food you order.
