SES Truck Load Of Thanks Tour - Wondai
This week is 2012 SES Week, and the South Burnett's SES groups will be marking it with a "Truck Load Of Thanks" tour of the region's major towns. Today the Tour will continue at the Wondai Visitor Information Centre on the Bunya Highway at Wondai between 7:30am and 9:30am with a free community sausage sizzle, a talk by Dr Samuel Stevens about disaster safety, and free Disaster Ready kits for everyone who comes along. Crow-FM 90.7's popular Breakfast Show will also be broadcasting live on site, and everyone is welcome! This Wednesday has also been designated nationally as "Wear Orange Wednesday", and if you'd like to show your support for the South Burnett's SES men and women, you can wear something orange (socks, tie, scarf etc) to show it. Note: Similar Tour pit-stops will be held at Kingaroy, Nanango and Blackbutt from tomorrow to Friday.
Tuesday Afternoon Scrabble - Kingaroy

The Murgon Lions Club will be holding their regular 2nd Tuesday of the month meeting at 7:00pm this evening. The South Burnett Young Leaders Association Inc. will be running the Kingaroy Christmas Carnival again this year in conjunction with key members of the community. Local Energy Trading System Get-Together - Wondai
- The Local Energy Trading System (LETS) will be holding a get-together at Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street in Wondai from 10:00am to around 11:00am this morning to discuss the possibility of setting up a LETS system in the South Burnett. LETS are non-cash trading systems and which already operate successfully in many parts of Australia (you can find out more about the concept by clicking here). Business Building Course - Kingaroy and Murgon
- The South Burnett Regional Council and Transforming Small Business will be presenting the first of a five-week series of workshops on building a business at the Kingaroy Town Hall Supper Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 11:00am this morning; and again at Gumnut Place in Gore Street, Murgon from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening.
