National Seniors Bus Tour To Sunshine Coast Hinterland
- The Murgon branch of National Seniors will be running a tour of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland today. Amongst other things, the tour will visit Mapleton, Flaxton, Montville and Maleny. Tickets for the trip are $44 per head and anyone is welcome to come along, whether you're a National Seniors member or not - but you'll need to book by March 18. Wondai Wolves Training Night - Wondai
- The Wondai Wolves RLFC will be holding their regular Thursday night training sessions at the Wondai Sportsgrounds off the Bunya Highway just north of the CBD this evening. Juniors train from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, followed by seniors at 6:00pm.
St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
- St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
South Burnett Saints Training Meeting - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Saints AFL Club will be holding their regular Thursday pre-season training session for junior players (U8s, U10s, U12s and U14s) at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 4:30pm to 5:30pm today. Senior players will train at the Kingaroy Pool at the corner of Alford and William Streets, Kingaroy at 5:45pm.
Diabetes Prevention Workshop - Murgon
- RHealth and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities Program will be holding the third of four free weekly workshops tonight which are designed to help people reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. The workshop will be held at the Murgon Town Hall off Lamb Street, Murgon from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. Over the course of four weeks participants will learn about physical activity; healthy eating; healthy cooking; and how to make smart food choices. Everyone is welcome but places are limited. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
