South Burnett Regional Council Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its monthly general meeting at the Glendon Street Council Chambers in Kingaroy at 9:00am this morning. Meetings are open to the public.
Blackbutt Red Cross Meeting
The Blackbutt Red Cross branch will be holding their monthly meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Blackbutt at 9:30am this morning. New members are very welcome.
Heartmoves Exercise Session - Murgon
A gold coin donation Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett PCYC instructor Prue Collard will be held at the Castra complex at 2 Cooper Street in Murgon between 10:30am and 11:30am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Castra and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. Heartmoves sessions will be held at the same time and place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month in future, and everyone is welcome. South Burnett Carers Group Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Carers Social & Information Group will be holding its regular monthly meeting in the Tobruk Room of Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am and 12:30pm this morning. The group is open to anyone who acts as a carer. It's designed to provide a social and networking outlet for carers, who often find themselves isolated by their role. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Indoor bowls competitions commence at 9:00am and cards at around 1:00pm, and the $2 admission includes a cup of tea. Everyone is welcome. For more details phone (07) 4163-6191.
Wednesday Wipe-Outs Ten Pin Bowling - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Lively 50s&60s Social Group will be holding a Wednesday Wipe-Outs 10-Pin Bowling Morning at the Kingaroy Ten Pin Bowling Alley at 4 Irvins Street from 9:15am this morning (bowling starts at 9:30am sharp). The cost is $15.60 for three games plus a $2.00 fee that will be used towards prize monies and trophies which will be handed out out at the end of the season. Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. Red Dress Day - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt branch of Red Cross will be holding a "Red Dress Day" at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:00am onwards this morning as a fundraiser. Guests who dress in red can be in the running to win some great prizes, and there'll also be catering and entertainment. More details will be published as they become available.
Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group Meeting
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $4 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well.
