South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Community Flood Recovery Information Meetings - Hivesville & Nanango
The South Burnett Regional Council in conjunction with the Federal and State Governments and regional organisations will be holding two postponed Community Flood Recovery Information Meetings at the Hivesville Hotel in Main Road, Hivesville from 6:30am to 8:30am this morning; and again at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango from 6:30pm to 8:30pm tonight. The purpose of the meetings is to provide the latest information about the assistance that's now available (eg: loans, grants and/or support) for people who were affected by the Australia Day weekend floods. Apart from the Council there'll also be representatives on hand from the Department of Communities, Farm Financial Counsellors from DAFF, BIEDO Grant Angels, Centrelink and Centacare to answer questions and make appointments to assist. A cuppa and breakfast will also be supplied at the morning meeting (light refreshments at the evening meeting) and anyone affected by the recent floods - or who knows of someone who was - is very welcome. Coffee & Cake Morning - Wondai
The Lively 50's & 60's Singles Social Group will be holding a coffee and cake social morning at Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai between 10:00am and 12:00 noon today. Lively50s&60s is a social group for women and men between 50 and 69 to allow them to get together for fun, social activities and merriment. The Wondai Wolves RLFC will be holding their regular Tuesday night training sessions at the Wondai Sportsgrounds off the Bunya Highway just north of the CBD this evening. Juniors train from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, followed by seniors at 6:00pm.
