Kumbia Kindy International Women's Day Luncheon
- The Kumbia Kindy will be commemorating International Womens Day with a special luncheon at the Kumbia Memorial Hall in Bell Street, Kumbia from 11:00am to 2:30pm today. The IWD luncheon is the Kindy's major fundraiser of the year and in addition to a great 2-course lunch, guests will also be able to hear inspirational local guest speakers talking about their lives. They include SBRC Cr Cheryl Dalton, author Alice Greenup, Kumbia Local Achiever 2013 award winner Pat Hobdell and Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington. There'll also be live music, markets and multidraw raffles, as well as great company. Tickets to the luncheon are $22.50 per head and they can be obtained from Lenihans Butchery in Kumbia; Options Gifts in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy; or by phoning Gayle on (07) 4164-4175 or Elizabeth on (07) 4164-4670. However, if you'd just like to browse through the markets you can gain admission for a gold coin donation. Everyone - including children - is very welcome! PS: Kumbia Kindy only has 4 children enrolled at the moment, so vacancies are available if you need great child care. The committee this year has grandparents stepping up to take positions on the committee to keep the Kindy operating, and it needs to have some big events to kick-start its 2013 fundraising programme. So it's looking forward to people attending the luncheon who might like to help out. If you'd like to assist in any way, phone Elizabeth on (07) 4164-4670, Kumbia Kindergarten on (07) 41640-4200, or Gayle on (07) 4164-4175.
