Australia's Biggest Morning Tea At The Peanut Van's Factory
Kingaroy's iconic Peanut Van will be holding one of Australia's Biggest Morning Teas at their headquarters at 14 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just opposite the Endeavour Kitchens) at 10:00am this morning as a fundraiser for the Queensland Cancer Council. Everyone is welcome - all you need to bring is a gold coin donation - but to assist with catering an RSVP by May 15th would be greatly appreciated. You can make one by phoning The Peanut Van on 1300-81-82-83 or emailing them
National Seniors Bus Tour To Miles
The Murgon branch of National Seniors will be running a tour to Miles west of Chinchilla today. Miles was originally named Dogwood Crossing (after Dogwood Creek, which runs through the town) but was renamed in honour of the Queensland Colonial Secretary, William Miles. Today it's an agricultural town with a population of around 1,100 but may boom again in the future because of coal seam gas. It's also a little-seen, little heard-of town that will be fun to explore. Tickets for the trip are $52 per head and anyone is welcome to come along, whether you're a National Seniors member or not - but you'll need to book by Monday, May 13th and the bus will leave at 6:00am. You can obtain more details about bus pick-up points and departure times and/or make a booking by phoning Paula on (07) 4168-3114 or (0438) 708-885.

These workshops were a great success when they were run in January, but places are limited. If you missed out last time you can reserve one this time around by phoning Caitlin at RHealth on (07) 4162-5230 or by emailing her.
