Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their latest monthly exhibition for 2015 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm tonight. This month the gallery will be hosting The Creative Five - Sunshine Coast artist June McCotter and Brisbane Valley artists Judy Goodman, Kate Dohle, Linda Howe and Helenna Dohle - who'll be filling all three of the Gallery's exhibition spaces with their works. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature great hot and cold finger foods and punch, along with wine tastings from Kingsley Grove winery, live entertainment and lots of fun socialising. Twilight Artisan's Market - Nanango
The Nanango Art Society will be holding a Twilight Artisan's Market at the Winds Of Change Art Gallery at 8 George Street, Nanango from 4:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. The markets will feature original and creative hand-made gifts - just perfect for Christmas - and there'll be food and live music too. Everyone is welcome! Kingaroy State High School Instrumental Music Concert
Kingaroy State High School's annual end of year Instrumental Music Concert will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 5:30pm until around 9:00pm tonight. This year the concert is will have a Masquerade Ball theme, so come dressed up with your best mask on. The concert will feature the KSHS Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Junior Secondary Ensemble and Stage Band. The Kingaroy Girl Guides will be running a $2 sausage sizzle from 5:30pm (with $1.50 soft drinks) while the KSHS Stage Band provides entertainment in the forecourt, before everyone moves into the Town Hall for the evening's concert at around 6:45pm. Tickets can be pre-purchased at a discount of $5 single or $20 per family from the payment office at Kingaroy High School, but they'll also be available at the door tonight for $8 per head.
Yarraman Ladies Bowls Club Meeting

Historic Sites Tour - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt and District Tourism & Heritage Association will be running a free tag-a-long tour of the historic Taromeo and Benarkin areas this morning. The tour will leave Nu8kku Nook at the end of Hart Street, Blackbutt at 9:15am and visit 10 different sites in the Taromeo and Benarkin areas. Friday Night Poker - Kingaroy
Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy will be hosting Friday night poker games this evening. Registration starts at 6:30pm and the first cards are dealt at 7:00pm. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). The Endeavour Foundation will be running bingo games at Kingaroy RSL from 10:00am this morning (eyes down at 10:30am). Star Weaving Session - Murgon
Graham House Comunity Centre at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon will be holding a Friday star weaving session from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning in support of the One Million Stars to End Violence international weaving project. These sessions are free to attend and weaving materials are provided. The group aim to weave 4,615 stars in the South Burnett before 2018. The Widgee Community Complex in Power Road at Widgee will be holding a free "Movies In The Park" night at 7:00pm this evening. The feature film will be the Disney comedy "Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day". Food and drinks will be available for purchase onsite.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
