Spooky Disco - Kumbia
The Kumbia Kindergarten will be hosting a Spooky Disco for all ages to 13 years at the Kumbia Hotel in Bell Street, Kumbia from 5:00pm to 7:00pm this evening. Admission is $5, fancy dress is encouraged, and tickets will be available at the door.
International Day - Maidenwell
The Maidenwell QCWA and Tanduringie State School pupils will be holding their annual International Day at the Maidenwell Hall this afternoon. Doors will open at 11:30am and a program of entertainment will begin at 12:30pm. There'll also be a display of the children's entries in the CWA International competition. Admission is $5, there'll be a raffle and afternoon tea and everyone is welcome.
Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). Blue Light Disco - Nanango
The Nanango Blue Light Disco committee will be holding their monthly U18s Blue Light Disco at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango from 6:00pm to 8:00pm tonight. Friday Morning Bingo - Kingaroy
The Endeavour Foundation will be running bingo games at Kingaroy RSL from 10:00am this morning (eyes down at 10:30am). There'll be four jackpots on offer, along with book games and raffles, and proceeds will go to help people with an intellectual disability. Everyone is welcome. More details? Kingaroy Men's Bowls Carnival
The first day of the three-day Kingaroy Men's Bowls Carnival will be held at the Kingaroy Bowls Club in Youngman Street from 9:00am to 5:00pm today. Today's competition will be the Men's Pairs, with $60 per pair nomination fees and $4500 in prize money up for grabs. Coverty Creek Social Club Meeting
The Coverty Creek Community Development and Social Club will be holding its regular Friday night social gathering at the Red Shed at 198 Coverty Road, Coverty from 5:00pm until around 10:00pm tonight. Friday Night At The Shed - Nanango
The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:30pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting (or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer). Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Friday Night Sax - Wondai
The South Burnett's very own "Sultan Of Sax" Tom McKenzie will be playing at the Wondai Hotel & Cellars in Haly Street, Wondai from 6:00pm until late tonight. Taabinga State School Art Exhibition
Taabinga State School in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy will be holding its annual Student Art Exhibition in the school's Resource Centre at 6:00pm this evening. The exhibition will showcase printmaking and sculpture created by students, along with works from the recent Wondai Regional Gallery Art Competition. All parents are welcome. More details? South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
