South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Blackbutt Camera Club Meeting
The Blackbutt Camera Club will be holding a meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 4:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. The club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month except December and January. The first Wednesday is devoted to practical photography (bring your own camera and equipment) and the third Wednesday to a review of those images and talks and tips on software (bring your laptop), followed by a committee meeting at 7:00pm. South Burnett Regional Council Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its fifteenth general meeting for 2015 at the Glendon Street Council Chambers in Kingaroy at 9:00am this morning. Meetings are open to the public.
QCWA Twilight Branch Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch will be holding their third Wednesday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms next to Kingaroy RSL in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to around 7:30pm tonight. The Twilight Branch is a new branch of the QCWA which is designed for working women and busy mums. It meets in the evenings and is separate from the traditional Kingaroy branch (which meets during the day). The Twilight Branch is open to all women who'd like to take part in QCWA activities and/or find out more about this highly respected community organisation. New members are always very welcome! Kingaroy Carers Group Meeting
The Kingaroy Carers Group will be holding their regular third Wednesday of the month meeting at the Kingaroy RSL's Function Room in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am to 12:30pm this morning. The group is open to anyone who acts as a carer. It's designed to provide a social and networking outlet for carers, who often find themselves isolated by their role. Nanango Swimming Club Night
The Nanango Swimming Club will be holding a Club Night at the Nanango Aquatic Centre in Henry Street, Nanango at 6:00pm this evening. The aim of the evening is to help children improve on their personal best times and have fun, and laughter and cheering are encouraged. Connections Craft Group - Kingaroy
The Connections Craft Group will be holding its weekly meeting at The Biscuit Tin behind St Mary's Church at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to around 12 noon this morning. South Burnett CTC will be holding their Annual General Meeting in the Conference Room at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre at 6 Cornish Street, Kingaroy at 6:30pm this evening. All interested people are welcome to attend but to plan catering an RSVP by Tuesday, November 10 would be greatly appreciated. Summer Soccer 7s - Kingaroy
The fifth round of Summer Soccer 7s will be played at the Kingaroy Soccer Fields at the end of Oliver Bond Street in Kingaroy from 5:30pm until around 9:00pm tonight. Eighteen teams - 12 social and 6 competitive - will be playing matches on two fields. Spectators are very welcome. The full Summer Soccer 7s match schedule can be found on our website.
Wednesday Night Poker - Kingaroy
Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy will be hosting Wednesday night poker games this evening. Registration starts at 6:30pm and the first cards are dealt at 7:00pm. There are cash prizes to be won and no fees to play. More details from the RSL on (07) 4162-1755.
Kingaroy Girl Guides Meeting
The Kingaroy Girl Guides Troop will be meeting at the Guides Hut in Mant Street, Kingaroy this afternoon. U9s will meet from 4:00pm to 5:30pm, and seniors (ages 10-18) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The Graham House Community Garden group will be meeting at the Graham House Community Centre at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The group tends a community garden and meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month during school terms. Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet every Wednesday at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $4 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. Nanango Playgroup Meeting
The Nanango Playgroup will be holding its regular Wednesday meeting at the Nanango Darts Club at the corner of Elk and George Streets between 9:30am and 11:30am this morning. The playgroup is a group of mums, dads, grandparents and caregivers who meet together each week with their children (aged 5 years and under) for interaction and fun. It's a great way for children to learn about the world, make friends and develop social skills. The playgroup also gives the adults a chance to meet and share ideas and experiences. Man Cave - Kingaroy
The Sister Dolores Carroll Training Centre at St Mary's Catholic College at 10 Kent Street in Kingaroy will be transforming into a "Man's Cave" between 6:30pm and 10:00pm tonight. Qualified instructors will be demonstrating the use of all the equipment in the centre - great stuff like lathes, drills etc - and if you're a man interested in restoring or manufacturing wood or metal products and socialising with other men who have similar interests, then this could be the place for you! Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today.
