Emeric Charles Campaign Launch - Blackbutt
Blackbutt's postmaster Emeric Charles will be officially launching his campaign for a seat on the next South Burnett Regional Council as an independent representative for Division 2 at the Bunya Nut Cafe in Coulson Street, Blackbutt at 6:00pm this evening. Everyone is welcome to come along and meet Emeric and he's particularly interested to hear what your major concerns are and what direction you think the South Burnett Regional Council should head towards over the coming four years. If you can't make tonight's launch but still want to put your views, you can also email him.
Thursday Colour Therapy - Kingaroy
The Salvation Army will be running Thursday Colour Therapy - a relaxing, fun morning of colouring - from 10:30am to 12:00 noon at their building at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy (just next to KFC). Colours, paints, pictures and paper will be supplied so you can draw, sketch, paint or colour in, and you can bring your own project or start a new one. Admission is just a gold coin donation and tea, coffee and nibbles will be provided. Everyone is welcome!
Birds Of A Feather Meeting - Kingaroy
The Birds Of A Feather Cancer Support Group will be holding their regular 4th Thursday of the month meeting at Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy at 10:00am this morning. This is a friendly, informal group of women who have (or had) cancer, as well as carers, and they get together once a month for a morning tea and chat. New members are very welcome! More details? Thursday Makers, Bakers and Growers Markets - Kingaroy
Boots & Bulldust will be holding their Makers, Bakers and Growers Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held at O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. Old Time Dancing - Murgon

Kingaroy Community Kitchen
The Kingaroy Community Kitchen will be holding its regular Thursday morning meeting at St Mary's Hall at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to around 12:00 noon today. Comunity Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results. Electricity Community Forum - Mondure
BIEDO and Agforce will be jointly holding a free community forum at Mondure Hall in Mondure at 6:00pm this evening. The forum will examine the latest issues with electricity tariffs and Ergon's future proposal regarding domestic on-farm tariffs, new electricity consumption trends and their possible impact on power bills. The forum will also examine ideas to help reduce on-farm and domestic electricity costs. Everyone is welcome!

St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Murgon RSL Bingo

Belle and Beau Ball - Bell
The 2015 Belle and Beau Ball will be running from 7:30pm to 9:30pm tonight at the Bell Memorial Hall in Wallace Street. The Belle and Beau Ball started many years ago as a way of assessing the high school students for their HPE dance unit, and once again Bell P10 State School students from years 4 to 10 are being taught old time dances and bush dances to perform on the night. This is a celebratory night chosen by the year 10’s as a way to finish their schooling at Bell P10. Everybody is welcome to attend, but younger children do need to have parental supervision for the night, and one of the rules of the Ball is that once students enter the hall they are not allowed outside again until picked up by their parents or guardians.
Thursday Evening Futsal - Kingaroy

The Blackbutt-Benarkin Lions Club will be holding a burger night meeting at the Lions Den behind the Blackbutt Showgrounds from 6:00pm this evening. New members are always very welcome.
Murgon Junior Rugby League Football Club AGM
The Murgon Junior Rugby League Football Club will be making a second attempt at holding their Annual General Meeting at 7:00pm tonight after their first attempt on November 12 left them unable to fill any of the club's executive positions. Mr Col Pidgeon at Top Of The Town meets has now been asked to administer the club until a committee can be formed, and he can be contacted on (07) 4168-1352 (bhrs) or (07) 4168-3016 (ahrs). Tonight's second run at the AGM will be held at the Murgon Rugby League clubhouse inside the Murgon Showgrounds in Macalister Street. All interested people are welcome to attend.
Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Gipps Street, Nanango at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!

The Nanango & District Netball Association will be holding their Annual General Meeting at their club house in Brooklands Road, Nanango at 5:30pm this evening. All interested people are welcome to attend.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
