Wondai Autumn Garden Expo
The second (and final) day of the weekend long 2015 Wondai Autumn Garden Expo will be held at the Wondai Sports Grounds off the Bunya Highway just north of Wondai's CBD from 8:00am this morning through until 1:00pm this afternoon. The Expo has become one of the South Burnett's signature annual events as well as one of the largest gardening shows of its type in south-east Queensland, and it always draws thousands of keen gardeners to Wondai every April. The Wondai Art Gallery will be running a special exhibition on a floral theme today too - so make sure you check out both venues! As well as the usual wide range of plant and garden-related product displays, the Expo will also feature a number of interesting and well-informed guest speakers talking on a variety of gardening topics throughout the day. Patrons can get to enjoy a brilliant Flower Show and live musical entertainment too, and there'll be plenty of food and drink outlets dotted around the grounds. Admission is a slim $4 per day (young people under 15 can get in for free if accompanied by an adult) and you can get more details and/or book a stand of your own on the Garden Expo's web site or by phoning (07) 4168 9297 (or emailing her). Visitors coming to Wondai for the weekend can also obtain helpful assistance from the South Burnett Visitor Information Centre - Wondai by phoning (07) 4168-5652 or by emailing them. The Expo is organised by Wondai Garden Expo Inc and was the winner of the 2006 Regional Festivals and Events category in the prestigious Fraser Coast South Burnett Tourism Awards for Excellence. Come along today and see why!
