In addition to their award-winning wines and notoriously good mixed platters, they'll also be offering three genuinely "home cooked" meals at their undercover cellar door today: a savoury crepe with fresh salad and home-made Worcestershire sauce; a Warm Chicken Salad with chicken marinated in a mild chilli and peanut sauce on a fresh salad base; and just for Easter, an open filet steak sandwich served on toasted sourdough with fresh salad and beetroot salsa. Australian Sports Rotorcraft Association Nationals - Wondai
More than $2 million worth of gyrocopters who have been paying a visit to Wondai Airport over the Easter weekend to take part in the four-day Australian Sports Rotorcraft Association (ASRA) Nationals will be wrapping up their event today. Last year over 25 gyrocopters came to Wondai Airport, and this year organisers hope to see even more. The event is hosted by the South East Queensland Gyroplane Club, assisted by the Barambah District Aero Club and the South Burnett Regional Council. And if you're interested in gyrocopters (small one or two-person helicopters that are often assembled from kits), this Easter weekend is a perfect opportunity to see them close up and talk with the men and women who fly them for fun. Joy rides are often available too, for a modest fee. Wondai Airport is located not far from the Proston turn-off north of Wondai on the D'Aguilar Highway. You can also read more about what last year's ASRA Nationals were like on our website.
