Composting And Worm Farming Workshop - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a Composting And Worm Farming Workshop at the Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. The workshop will suit anyone with an interest in gardening, soil improvemrent and/or waste reduction, and guests will learn all about how to establish and maintain home composting systems; get the lowdown on worm farming and worm farm assembly; and pick up waste minimisation tips, as well as find out about the benefits of reducing waste. Light refreshments will be served, and there'll also be a compost bin or worm farm as a lucky door prize. Women Walk The World - Proston
- As part of this year's Associated Country Women Of The World Day, a Women Walk The World walk will be held in Proston this morning. If you'd like to take part, you should meet at the QCWA Rooms in Rodney Street at 9:00am for a short walk around the town. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Nanango Playgroup Meeting
- The Nanango Playgroup will be holding its regular Wednesday meeting at the Nanango Darts Club at the corner of Elk and George Streets between 9:30am and 11:30am this morning. The playgroup is a group of mums, dads, grandparents and caregivers who meet together each week with their children (aged 5 years and under) for interaction and fun. It's a great way for children to learn about the world, make friends and develop social skills. The playgroup also gives the adults a chance to meet and share ideas and experiences. Qualified instructors will be demonstrating the use of all the equipment in the centre - great stuff like lathes, drills etc - and if you're a man interested in restoring or manufacturing wood or metal products and socialising with other men who have similar interests, then this could be the place for you!
