South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Back To School
The second term of the school year begins today and all school-age children attending State schools are required to return to class this morning. Term 2 will conclude on Friday, June 26 with a sixteen day Winter break. Motorists should take note that reduced speed limits around school grounds also begin to apply from today and they can face a steep fine for exceeding them - so drive slowly. South Burnett Regional Council Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its fifth general meeting for 2015 at the Glendon Street Council Chambers in Kingaroy at 9:00am this morning. Meetings are open to the public. Note: Today's meeting was originally scheduled for April 22, but will be held two days earlier than normal because the Mayor and Deputy Mayor have to attend a conference on Wednesday.
Small Town Culture - Kilkivan
The Small Town Culture crew and representatives from Gympie Shire Council will be holding a public meeting at the Kilkivan Town Hall in Bligh Street, Kilkivan between 6:00pm and 8:00pm tonight to discuss the creation of a music video for Kilkivan, which was recently won by Kilkivan State School students in a national competition. Murgon Neighbourhood Watch Meeting

Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp). Sing Australia Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy branch of the Sing Australia singing group will be holding their regular Monday night meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) from 7:00pm to around 9:00pm this evening. The group have a welcoming, inclusive and fun approach to singing and meet every Monday except for school and public holidays. Rising Stars Playgroup - Yarraman
The Yarraman Rising Stars Playgroup will be meeting at the Yarraman State School Meeting Room between 8:45am and 11:30am this morning. Children involved in the playgroup will get to enjoy a morning of indoor and outdoor play and fun; develop pre-reading and pre-writing skills; form strong relationships with other children; and transition to school more smoothly. If you're bringing your child along, you should also bring along morning tea, a water bottle, a hat, closwed-in shoes suitable for climbing and old clothes (sunscreen will be provided).
