South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
South Burnett Speedway - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Speedway will roar into life at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy tonight for its Nutty November race meeting. Tonight's meeting will feature Modlites, Wingless Sprints, Formula 500s, Lightning Sprints and Late Models. There'll be canteen facilities operating on site, and campsites are available in the Showgrounds if you want to stay over. Gates will open at 2:00pm, racing will start at 4:30pm and the excitement will continue until around 10:30pm tonight. Admission is $30 for adults, $20 for students (with ID) and aged or disability pensioners; or $85 for a family of two adults and two students (children 12 and under are free). Everyone is welcome!
8th Annual Kingaroy Swap Meet
The Kingaroy and District Machinery Club will be holding its Eighth Annual Swap Meet at the club's grounds in Geoff Raph Drive near Kingaroy Airport from 6:00am this morning through until around 2:00pm this afternoon. The Swap Meet offers the opportunity to buy and sell all manner of had-to-get parts, tools and bits and pieces of machinery, and if you're into vintage tractors, trucks or steam engines it's heaven on a stick. Stall sites (10m x 6m) are just $20 with set-up on Friday, and overnight camping is available for $10 per site for stallholders who want to stay over. There'll also be food and drinks available on Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and again today from 5:00am to 12:00 noon. Admission today is just $5 per head (U16s are free) and if it's anything like the club's previous Swap Meets, expect B-I-G crowds and lots of stands. Dance - Inverlaw Hall
A dance will be held at Inverlaw Hall on the Burrandowan Road (roughly 20km from Kingaroy) from 8:00pm until late this evening. Music will be supplied by Chattanooga and there'll be the usual supper and novelty dances, along with a Lucky Door draw and a raffle. Rock'n'Roll Weekend Campout - Kilkivan
Kilkivan Bush Camping and Caravan Park, at 577 Rossmore Road, will be hosting a "Never 2 Old To Rock'n'Roll" weekend campout on Friday and Saturday featuring The Rocknrollabillys, Rock'n'Roll Boys and Fonzies Rock'n'Roll. There'll be dance lessons during the day as well as live music and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. More information is available online

A Small Day Out At The Rodeo - Kingaroy
Brisbane-based Blue Roo Theatre Company and the South Burnett's own Rockin' Our Abilities will be putting on a one-off performance from 2:30pm today at Kingaroy Town Hall to celebrate the local disability performing arts community. Tickets are $9 and can be booked online or bought at the door.
RYZA - Kingaroy

Wooroolin Community Markets
The Wooroolin Community Markets will be held inside the Wooroolin QCWA Rooms on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin from 6:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. The markets offer stalls, a sausage sizzle, fresh produce, plants and crafts and are run on the 2nd Saturday of every month except January. Saturday Library Day - Maidenwell
The volunteers from the Maidenwell QCWA will be supervising the regular weekly Saturday Library Day (featuring books loaned from Kingaroy Library) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. A library day is held in the Maidenwell Hall in Pool Street every Wednesday and Saturday.
Giant Craft Fair - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt & District Tourism and Heritage Association will be running a Giant Craft Fair at Blackbutt's Memorial Hall in Bowman Road from 8:00am to 6:00pm today. The Craft Fair will have a huge range of hand-crafted items including jewellery; felt items; woodwork; dolls; baby clothes; embroidered, crocheted and knitted items; hair pieces; magnetic gift sets and more on sale - just perfect for Christmas gifts! - as well as food and drinks available all day. The Nanango Men's Shed at the corner of Mt Stanley Road and Heathermore Lane, Nanango will be open from 8:30am to around noon today for its regular Saturday get-together. The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday between 7:30am and 12:30pm to work on projects and new members are always welcome!
Kingaroy Men's Shed
The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be holding their regular Saturday morning meeting at the old Motor Pool building off Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport from 8:00am to around noon today. The group meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday morning and new members and visitors are always welcome.
Nanango Campdraft
The second day of the three-day 2024 Nanango Campdraft will be held at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 5:30am this morning until late this afternoon. Today's events include Novice, Juvenile, Open, Novice and Maiden 4 Maiden competitions plus live entertainment by Graeme Jensen. Admission to the campdraft is free for spectators. A licensed bar, canteen and meals will be open over the weekend plus a coffee van and an ice cream van.
Goodger Family Markets

In Stage 2, Murgon will take on Nanango Scorpions in Murgon; and the Kingaroy Cobras will play the Kingaroy Kookaburras in Kingaroy. In Stage 3, Nanango Scorpions v Kingaroy in Kingaroy. Junior games start at 8:00am. In Round 5, of the South Burnett Senior competition, Tingoora Vikings v Tingoora Huntsmen at Tingoora Sportsground; Murgon v Wondai at Murgon Showgrounds; Kingaroy Services v Tingoora Mercenaries at Wondai Sports Ground; and Nanango Scorpions v Wooroolin Warriors at Alan Downie Sports Fields; Nanango. In the Gympie A Grade competition, Murgon Crusaders will take on Gympie Harlequins at Murgon Showgrounds. All Senior games start at 12:30pm.
Proston Men's Shed
