Art of the Forest - Bunya Mountains
- Day 1 of the two-day free exhibition, “Art of the Forest”, by Frida Forsberg will held in a marquee in the grounds of the Bunya Mountains Accommodation Centre at Dandabah on the Bunya Mountains from 10:00am to 3:00pm today. There are also limited places available at two all-ages workshops to be held today:
• Gondwanan Landscapes - 11:00am - An acrylic painting workshop led by Frida Forsberg – cost $25
• Indigenous Weaving – 2:00pm - An interactive workshop led by Gamilaraay and Anaiwan woman Christina Howard (Dhamali-Gu Minyaarr) – cost $25
Entry to the Art Of The Forest exhibition, which also features paintings by Niketa Law and other local artists, is free. Email bunyamcainc@gmail for more information about how to register for the workshops.
Sawdust In Our Veins Launch - Blackbutt
- The Blackbutt District Tourism and Heritage Association will be officially launching a video documentary today, "Sawdust In Our Veins", which chronicles the history of the timber industry in Benarkin, Blackbutt and Taromeo. The event will be held from 6:00pm at Blackbutt Memorial Hall, in Bowman Road. The Janet Skinner Art Collection will also be officially unveiled. Ally Walker Dance Academy Concert - Kingaroy
- The Ally Walker Dance Academy will be holding their 19th annual concert from 3:00pm this afternoon at KPAC (the Kingaroy Performing Arts Centre) at the end of Markwell Street, Kingaroy. Everyone is invited to come along and watch the students perform! Tickets can be booked online
Seventies In Style - Yarraman

Wondai Country Markets
- The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's monthly Wondai Country Markets will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The markets feature stallholders selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans. The BBQs will also be firing up from around 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts for early bargain hunters. New stallholders are always very welcome (stall fees range from $10 with power and water available, if needed), and you can obtain more details by phoning the Wondai Regional Art Gallery on (07) 4168-5926.

Open Garden - Brooklands
- An Open Garden will be held at 86 Boldery Road in Brooklands from 8:30am to 4:00pm today. There'll be flowering daylily seedlings for sale and a craft stall. A delicious morning tea ($7.50) and a barbecue lunch, featuring Beauvale lamb ($15), will be available to purchase. Entry is $5 with funds raised going to the Leukaemia Foundation. Nanango Mini Market
- The Nanango Mini Market, which runs on the 4th Saturday of each month (except January) outside the Churchyard Opp Shop at the corner of Drayton and Burnett Streets in Nanango, will be running from 7:00am to around noon this morning. Apart from offering great bargains at great prices - ranging from plants to craft work, DVDs, bric-a-brac, glassware, books, jewellery, photographic work and mosaic art - the markets also have a $3 sausage sizzle, $1.00 soft drinks ($2 for a coke) and gold coin donation tea and coffee if you get peckish.
