Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
- The Wondai Regional Art Gallery, on the roundabout at Wondai, will be opening two exhibitions for November this evening: Murgon residents Maureen Irving and Sandy Hoffmann will be in Gallery 1 with "two Great Minds"; and the Childers Visual Art Group will be in the Main Gallery and Gallery 3 with "Driven To Abstraction". Murgon Kindy will be in Kidz Korner. As usual, tonight's opening, from 6:00pm, will also feature hot and cold finger foods and punch, glasses of wine available from Clovely Estate, live music and lots of fun socialising. Art Exhibition Opening - Kingaroy
- Kingaroy Art Gallery will be featuring works by four well-known art teachers - Bronwyn Martoo, Tonita Penny, Marylaura Kato and Kahli Dawkings - from November 1-19. The official opening of "Visceral Existence" will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm tonight at the gallery in Haly Street (opposite the peanut silos). Entry is free and everyone is welcome! Murgon To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
- Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Murgon and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey about 11:30am. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Fridays, but places are limited so a booking is necessary. Friday Morning Bingo - Murgon

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Friday Night At The Shed
- The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. Spook Night - Yarraman
- Qld Blue Light will be hosting an Under 18s only Spook Night Halloween party from 6:00pm to 9:00pm tonight at Yarraman Memorial Hall. Entry is $5 and a canteen will be available to buy hot food and cold drinks. This is a fully supervised drug and alcohol-free event. All children must be collected by an adult.

- A special Halloween-themed Blue Light Disco will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. Entry is restricted to young people aged from Prep to Year 9 (high school students will need to produce their student ID). Admission is $5 and there'll be prizes for the best Halloween costumes! Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
