South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Run For Your Wife - Nanango
The Nanango Theatre Company's second performance of their latest hilarious production, "Run For Your Wife", a farce by Ray Cooney, will be performed at their theatre at the corner of Elk and George streets, Nanango at 7:00pm tonight. Tickets are $25 for adults or $20 for concessions, and they can be obtained by phoning Jon on 0407-631-611 or booked online. Note: There'll be two performances at the same venue tomorrow, plus three more next week.
Murgon State High School Formal
Murgon State High School's 2024 school formal will be held in the school's hall tonight. Arrivals will begin at the Dutton Street East gate at 4:30pm but spectators should get there before this to secure a good vantage spot!
Friday Morning Bingo - Murgon
Bingo games will be held at Murgon RSL's Welfare Drop-In Centre at 44 Stephens Street West, Murgon from 9:00am this morning (eyes down at 10:00am). There'll be some great prizes on offer and everyone is welcome. More details? Phone (07) 4313-3018.
Murgon To Kingaroy Shopping Bus
Graham House will be running a shopping bus between Murgon and Kingaroy today. The bus will pick up customers from their address at 8:30am and transport them to Kingaroy Shoppingworld (or other destinations if arranged beforehand), then make a return journey about 11:30am. Tickets on the bus are $15 per person return and the bus runs fortnightly on Fridays, but places are limited so a booking is necessary. Kingaroy RSL Bingo

The Proston Golf Club, on Brigooda Road, Proston, will be holding a Friday afternoon social golf game today. Names need to be in by 2:00pm for a 2:30pm tee-off, and everyone is welcome. The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
