Wondai Christmas Eve Carnival
Wondai's traditional Christmas Eve Carnival will be held in Coronation Park off Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 5:00pm onwards this evening when the BBQs fire up and the hamburgers and sausages start to sizzle. This popular Carnival - staged by the Wondai Show Society and the Wondai Chamber of Commerce - will feature amusement rides, a BBQ, ham and turkey wheels, a goods wheel, live entertainment by the Wondai & District Band and (naturally!) a visit by Santa at around 7:30pm with free ice-blocks for the children. The Christmas Eve Carnival is always a really great way to get together with friends in Wondai at Yuletide - a street party that everyone is welcome to attend! It's also one of the few places left on Earth where 20c will still get you a ticket on the Goods Wheel and allow you to ask yourself the question: can this much value possibly be legal?!? Christmas Eve With Muddy Flats - Wondai
- The Wondai Hotel and Cellar in Haly Street, Wondai will be celebrating Christmas Eve with the South Burnett's favourite Indigenous band Muddy Flats from 7:30pm until late tonight - a great way to extend the Wondai Chrdeistmas Carnival revelries (see above) if you feel like kicking on! Men's Shed - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 12:00 noon and 2:00pm to 4:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The shed is open to all men who'd enjoy the companionship of other men while undertaking woodwork, metalwork or similar projects or who'd just enjoy a chat. More details? Tuesday Afternoon Card & Board Games - Wondai
- Tuesday afternoon card and board games will be played at The Studio at the rear of the Wondai Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. Some board games are available but you're welcome to bring your own too, if you like. You should also BYO afternoon tea, but otherwise admission is free and everyone is welcome.
