Blackbutt Christmas Festival - Friends of Cultcha
The second day of the 13th annual Blackbutt-Benarkin Lions Club Christmas Festival will spark into life at 7:00pm tonight when the Friends Of Cultcha open their final monthly exhibition for 2013 at the Blackbutt Art Gallery Space inside the Archie Muir Centre in Hart Street, Blackbutt. This month's exhibition will feature artworks by Nadine Martin accompanied by performing artist Judy Chatwood and - as usual - the opening will be accompanied by wine, cheese and all the fun of a Friends' event. Admission is $8 (with all proceeds going to Blackbutt charities) and there'll be a lucky door raffle, but admission to the exhibition during the remainder of the month is free. The show will remain on display from 8:30am to 4:30pm Mondays to Fridays and 9:00am to 12:00 noon every second Saturday until the end of the month, while the Christmas Festival itself will continue daily until Saturday, December 7. Wondai QCWA Meeting
- The Wondai branch of the QCWA will be holding their regular first Monday of the month meeting at the QCWA Rooms in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 10:00am this morning. Kingaroy Touch Assocation 2013 Grand Finals
- The Kingaroy Touch Association will be holding their 2013 Grand Finals at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy fronm 5:30pm tonight. Three pairs of matches will be played to decide this year's champions: one pair at 6:00pm; the next at 7:00pm; and the last at 8:00pm. A BBQ will be operating and drinks will be available in the grounds too. Spectators and supporters are very welcome!

Lift For Life Session - Wondai
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be holding a gold coin donation "Lift For Life" strength training program at the Wondai Squash Courts at 98 Edward Street in Wondai from 9:30am to 10:30am this morning. This new program - which offers a six-month, low cost course in strength training for people of all ages and fitness levels - will help prevent and/or manage Type 2 diabetes and other chronic health conditions.
