South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Kingaroy Christmas Carnival
The annual Kingaroy Christmas Carnival, organised by the South Burnett Young Leaders Association, will be held in and around O'Neill Square, Kingaroy and Haly streets from 5:00pm to 9:00pm this evening. This year's Carnival will feature plenty of stalls and amusement rides for the youngsters; lots of prizes and giveaways; food and craft stalls; $2 amusement rides; $3 face-painting; $6 dodgem rides; and photos with Santa (who'll be arriving at 6:15pm) for a gold coin donation. There'll also be music and live entertainment, including a live outside broadcast by CROW-FM 90.7. PS: Want to get involved helping out with this year's event? National Seniors Christmas Break-Up Lunch
The Murgon branch of National Seniors will be holding their Christmas Break-Up Lunch at Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai at 12:00 noon today. Mid-Week Markets - Kingaroy
Growing The Burnett will be holding their sixth Mid-Week Farmers Markets in Kingaroy today (and every Thursday until Christmas). The new markets feature fresh food and goods produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held in O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 7:30am to 1:30pm. St Joseph's Bingo - Mirgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Lift For Life Session - Blackbutt
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be holding a gold coin donation "Lift For Life" strength training program at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 1:00pm to 2:00pm this afternoon. This new program - which offers a six-month, low cost course in strength training for people of all ages and fitness levels - will help prevent and/or manage Type 2 diabetes and other chronic health conditions. Lift For Life sessions are held twice-weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and if you plan to attend you should bring comfortable shoes, a towel, a water bottle and (if applicable) medication. Taras Hall Bingo - Nanango
Bingo games will be held at Taras Hall immediately next to Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 10:00am this morning. Everyone is welcome!
Apex Club Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Apex Club will be holding their regular fortnightly dinner meeting at the Australian Hotel's Steakhouse in Lamb Street, Murgon between 7:00pm and 9:30pm this evening (dinner is served at 7:30pm). Apex is a community service organisation that accepts men and women between the ages of 18 and 45 and new members are very welcome!
Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Nansango Uniting Church in Gipps Street at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Thursday Morning Social Bowls - Wondai

Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
