South Burnett Tourism Association Meeting - Wondai
The South Burnett Tourism Association will be holding its first bi-monthly meeting for 2014 at the Wondai Hotel & Cellar in Haly Street, Wondai at 6:00pm this evening. The meeting will discuss the recently-completed Tourism Ambassador program trialled in Wondai during December; introduce a proposed project called "Roads To The South Burnett" which could have a big impact on the region; and provide an update on the up-coming 2014 Wine & Food In The Park festival. Anyone with an interest in the development of the South Burnett's tourism industry is very welcome to attend. Note: This will be a $15 per head dinner meeting, and if you want to dine you should RSVP to the hotel on (07) 4168-5274 by February 3rd to reserve a seat. If you don't want to dine, however, there's no charge to attend.
Nanango Funfest AGM - Nanango
Nanango Funfest Inc. - the group responsible for organising Nanango's annual Heritage Nanango Mardi Gras Festival - will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the Winds Of Change Gallery in George Street, Nanango at 6:00pm this evening. Anyone who'd like to get involved in this year's event (which will be held on October 5th with a "Family Farming" theme) is very welcome. More details? Tuesday Night Darts & AGM - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular Tuesday night darts competition from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. A $6 playing fee applies, but there's also a fully liocensed bar and raffles too. Tuesday Afternoon Card & Board Games - Wondai
Tuesday afternoon card and board games will be played at The Studio at the rear of the Wondai Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. Kingaroy Writers Association Meeting
The Kingaroy Writers' Association will be meeting between 9:30am and 12:30pm this morning at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Alford and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy. Members meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month to share their work with other members and take part in writing and word exercises. Swimming For Fitness - Blackbutt
The South Burnett Regional Council's new Swimming For Fitness program (for adults) will be held between 10:00am and 11:00am this morning at the Blackbutt Swimming Pool at the corner of Sutton and Margaret Streets, Blackbutt. This program is run by a local swimming coach and is open to adults of all fitness and ability levels. It aims to teach new ways to become physically active and how to stay active for life. If you're coming along, bring your swimming togs, a towel, sun protection and (if applicable) medication. Session fees are $5 if you're in full-time employment, or $2.50 if you're not. More details?
