National Apology Day - Cherbourg
- The Ration Shed Museum and the Cherbourg Community Health Centre will be jointly hosting a National Apology Commemoration at the Museum in Barambah Avenue, Chebourg rom 11:00am until around 1:30pm today. The event will begin with a Welcome to Country and a performance by the Barambah Dancers, followed by a short film ("The Early Days") about the establishment of Cherbourg. This, in turn, will be followed by a brief open mic session where people will be invited to talk about what Kevin Rudd's National Apology to Australia's indigenous peoples in 2008 meant to them as Australians. After this, the Ration Shed's newest book "On The Banks Of The Barambah" will be officially launched, and then there'll be a finger food lunch. Tuesday Night Darts - Kingaroy

- The South Burnett Regional Council's new Swimming For Fitness program (for adults) will be held between 10:00am and 11:00am this morning at the Blackbutt Swimming Pool at the corner of Sutton and Margaret Streets, Blackbutt. This program is run by a local swimming coach and is open to adults of all fitness and ability levels. It aims to teach new ways to become physically active and how to stay active for life. Over 4 workshops, participants will learn practical solutions for reducing their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes through physical acivity and healthy eating habits.
