South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Mid-Week Markets - Kingaroy
Growing The Burnett will be holding their Mid-Week Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett, and are held in O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 7:30am and 12:00 noon. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Women's Shed - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Women's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The shed is open to all women who'd enjoy the companionship of other women while undertaking woodwork, metalwork or similar projects or who'd just enjoy a chat. More details? The South Burnett Regional Council's new Swimming For Fitness program (for adults) will be held between 10:30am and 11:30am this morning at the Wondai Swimming Pool at 101 Mackenzie Street, Wondai. This program is run by a local swimming coach and is open to adults of all fitness and ability levels. It aims to teach new ways to become physically active and how to stay active for life. If you're coming along, bring your swimming togs, a towel, sun protection and (if applicable) medication. Session fees are $5 if you're in full-time employment, or $2.50 if you're not. More details? Speechcraft Course - Kingaroy
If you have difficulty speaking in public and would like to improve your abilities, South Burnett Toastmasters will be starting a 4 week Speechcraft course at Kingaroy RSL tonight that can help. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
