South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Aqua Fitness For Adults - Proston
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities programme will be holding the 8th week of a 10-week "Aqua Fitness For Adults" course at the Proston Swimming Pool in Collingwood Street between 3:00pm and 4:00pm today. The course features easy, water-based exercises and games for all fitness levels, Zumba and water aerobics and pool entry fees are being subsidised by the Council - all you need to bring is a gold coin donation, swimming togs, a towel and medication (if required). Timbertown Woodworkers Group Meeting - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers Group will be holding their regular Wednesday meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:00am until around 4:00pm today. Wednesday Wipe-Outs Ten Pin Bowling - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Lively 50s&60s Social Group will be resuming their weekly Wednesday Wipe-Outs 10-Pin Bowling Morning at the Kingaroy Ten Pin Bowling Alley at 4 Irvins Street from 9:15am this morning (bowling starts at 9:30am sharp). The cost is $15.60 for three games plus a $2.00 fee that will be used towards prize monies and trophies which will be handed out out at the end of the season. Judo Club Training Night - Murgon
The Murgon Judo Club will be holding its regular Wednesday training night at the Salvation Army Hall in Macalister Street, Murgon from 4:30pm to around 7:00pm this evening. Juniors will run from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, then seniors from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Class fees are $4 for juniors, $6 for seniors, and new members are very welcome! More details? Childrens Tennis Fun and Learning - Nanango
The Nanango & District Tennis Association will be holding a Childrens Tennis Fun and Learning afternoon at the Nanango Tennis Courts in Brisbane Street from 3:30pm to 4:30pm today (and every Wednesday afternoon until April 2). Sessions are based on the MLC Hotshots tennis fun and learning guidelines, and a parent or nominated adult must be present with all participating children. Kingaroy Scout Club Meeting
The Kingaroy Scout Club, which meets every Wednesday night during school terms, will be holding its regular meeting at the Scout Den in James Street, Kingaroy from 5:50pm to around 8:00pm tonight. Scouting provides instruction in an educational program of life and outdoor skills, mixed with games and craft activities, all designed to develop the physical, mental and emotional development of young males and females between the ages of 7 and 26. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Man Cave - Kingaroy
The Sister Dolores Carroll Training Centre at St Mary's Catholic College at 10 Kent Street in Kingaroy will be transforming into a "Man's Cave" between 7:00pm and 10:00pm tonight. Qualified instructors will be demonstrating the use of all the equipment in the centre - great stuff like lathes, drills etc - and if you're a man interested in restoring or manufacturing wood and/or metal products and socialising with other men who have similar interests, then this could be the place for you! Diabetes Prevention Program - Murgon
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be starting a 4 week Diabetes Prevention Program in Murgon today. Over 4 workshops, participants will learn practical solutions for reducing their risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes through physical acivity and healthy eating habits. The program will run from 10:00am to 11:30am at the South Burnett PCYC at 40 Macalister Street in Murgon, and it's completely free. However, places are limited. Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
