South Burnett Aviculture Society Open Day - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Aviculture Society - which focusses on the care and breeding of birds - will be holding an Open Day to launch their new club house at the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy between 8:00am and 1:00pm today. In addition to a great display of all types of birds, most club members will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about particular varieties and there'll also be an opportunity to buy birds direct from the breeders. The South Burnett Gas Guzzlers will be holding a Show & Shine as part of the event, and there'll be live DJ enrtertainment and market stalls too. Everyone is welcome and admission is free! The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular Sunday afternoon Pot Luck Doubles darts competitions from 11:00am to 4:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. A $10 playing fee applies, but that includes a great BBQ lunch. Touch Footy Pre-Season Warm-Up
- The Kingaroy Touch Association will be holding two events at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this afternoon.
Between 4:00pm and 5:00pm there'll be a muster and run for all juniors wanting to go to the Caboolture carnival on March 1; and from 5:00pm to 6:00pm there'll be some drills and games for any seniors (new or current players) wanting to dust off the cobwebs. Junior and senior new seaason sign-ons will be held at the same location tomorrow night.
