Kingaroy Community Christmas Carols
The annual Kingaroy Community Christmas Carols service will be held in the Glendon Street forecourt in Kingaroy at 6:00pm to around 8:30pm tonight. This year's gathering is being presented by the Kingaroy District Ministry Association and several sponsors and will feature performances by local orchestras and choirs. Food stalls will be operating from 6:00pm along with glowstick sales, soft drinks and other beverages. Families who want to sit near the front should bring blankets and cushions to sit on (BYO chairs if you want to sit further back). An offering will also be taken up during the program to support the Kingaroy Schools Chaplaincies. As usual, tonight's carols service is a great, completely free, family-friendly night out to which everyone is invited. Note: In the event of rain, the Carols will relocate inside the Town Hall. Blackbutt Singers Christmas Concert
The final day of the week-long 15th annual Blackbutt-Benarkin Lions Club Christmas Festival will start at 2:00pm this afternoon at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Coulson Street, when the Festival wraps up with the annual Blackbutt Singers Christmas Concert. The Blackbutt Singers, a guest flautist, the Nanango A Capella group and members of the Taromeo Country Music Club will be presenting 'Songs of Joy at Christmas' in a two-and-a-half hour show that promises to be both inspirational and uplifting. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $8 for concessions (children are free) and will include a light afternoon tea on conclusion. Tickets will be available at the door, there'll be a raffle as well, and everyone is welcome!
Family Christmas Carols On The Lawn - Murgon
The New Horizons Christian Church at 15292 Bunya Highway, Murgon will be holding their annual Family Christmas Carols On The Lawn service from 5:00pm tonight. In addition to a great night of family-oriented Christmas carol singing, there'll also be a sausage sizzle, steak burgers, cold drinks and glowsticks available for sale, and you're very welcome to stay on for supper and a chat afterwards. The Kingaroy Clay Target Club will be holding its final monthly trap shooting competition for 2015 at its range on the Goodger Road opposite Kingaroy Airport, about 3km south of Kingaroy, from 10:00am onwards today. - The second round of this season's Goodchild Shield cricket competition will be played at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 9:30am this morning when the South Burnett takes on Bundaberg. South Burnett won the first round of this year's Goodchild when they beat Fraser Coast last month, and they'll be keen to come out victors again today. Spectators and supporters are very welcome!
Nanango & District Camera Club Xmas Break-Up
