South Burnett Community Christmas Lunch - Kingaroy
- The Salvation Army and several other community groups and volunteers will be hosting the annual South Burnett Community Christmas Lunch at the Senior Citizens Centre in Avoca Street, Kingaroy from 11:30am this morning (lunch will be served at around 12:00 noon). The lunch is open to anyone - young or old - including single parents and those who'd just appreciate some company today, and has steadily grown to become a South Burnett Christmas Day tradition. To assist with catering, though, an RSVP is absolutely essential. You can make one by phoning CTC on (07) 4162-9000.
Christmas Day Buffet Lunch - Kingaroy
- The Carrollee Hotel in King Street, Kingaroy will be running a Christmas Day Buffet Lunch from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm today. For $89.90 per person ($69.90 for seniors and $19.90 for children 7 and under) you can get stuck into a cold seafood buffet featuring freshly-cooked prawns, Moreton Bay Bugs and freshly-shucked oysters or a Servery Station featuring roast turkey with cranberry sauce and glazed leg ham on the bone; along with hot vegetables and cool salads, a dessert buffet and unlimited tea and coffee without having to worry about doing the dishes afterwards. Christmas Lunch At Dimities - Wondai
- Dimities Cottage at 49 Haly Street, Wondai will be serving up their traditional BYO Christmas Smorgasbord Lunch from 12:00 noon onwards today. This is always a terrific all-you-can-eat feed of scrumptious, old-fashioned Yuletide foods - even Santa puts in an appearance to briefly chow down! - and it routinely draws up to 100 people.
