Boxing Day Public Holiday
- Because Boxing Day fell on a Saturday this year, the State Government has set down today as the Boxing Day Public Holiday. However Kingaroy Shoppingworld and major retailers in Murgon will be open today after the Government granted a request from the National Retail Association for an exemption in order to prevent large chains being closed for four days straight. Many smaller businesses will also be open and trading as usual.
