Wondai Country Markets
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's popular monthly Wondai Country Markets will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon today. Today's markets will feature stallholders selling fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans available from the Gallery's new "Studio" building just a short stroll across the park. The Wondai Kindergarten's BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts to early bargain hunters. Christmas Social Bowls - Yarraman
The Yarraman Bowls Club in Margaret Street, Yarraman will be holding its Christmas break-up today with Christmas Social Bowling matches. Play will be 2 x 12 ends in teams of three (11:30am sign-up; 12:30pm start) with a $90 prize for the winning team (ie $30 per player) and a $60 prize for the runners up. Green fees are $10 and they include afternoon tea. Afterwards the club will be presenting its 2015 championship trophies. Spectators are very welcome too - there'll be lucky door prizes valued at $20, plus a multi-draw raffle for prizes including hams, meat trays, home made cakes, fruit and veggie trays and entertainment packs. Mr Q - Yarraman
Popular South Burnett rock group Mr Q will be performing evergreen rock covers at the Royal Hotel in Toomey Street, Yarraman from 7:00pm until late tonight.
