Dibley Live And Big Cats - Nanango
The Nanango Theatre Company will be presenting the first perfomance of their latest productions "Dibley Live - The Vicar Of Dibley" and "Big Cats" at the Nanango Playhouse at the corner of Elk and George Streets in Nanango at 7:00pm tonight (play begins at 7:30pm). "Dibley Live" - as might be expected - is a stage adaptation of one of the BBC's most popular TV comedies, and the audience can look forward to meeting many old friends including the dotty Verger Alice Tinker, glum Parish Council chairman David Horton, Hugo Horton, Owen Newitt and Frank Pickle, amongst others. "Big Cats", by contrast, is gentle story acted with warmth and tenderness that focuses on Lily, who has spent all her married life in the same two-up, two-down council house. Her husband Joe plays a very important role in her life, and the audience gradually realises just how important it is as the play unfolds. Tickets - which include supper at intermission - are $20 for adults and $15 for pensioners or students. They can be purchased in advance from the Nanango Visitor Information Centre in Henry Street, Nanango, or at the door before each performance, if not sold out. Note: Three further performances will be held at the same time and venue tomorrow night, and next Friday and Saturday nights.
