Team Penning Competition - Kilkivan
- The Kilkivan Showgrounds will be hosting a number of horse-riding events today after yesterday's 2016 Kilkivan Great Horse Ride, and if you'd like to go along to see them admission is free. Activities will kick off at 7:00am with a Bush Poets Breakfast, and this will be followed at 8:00am with a Team Penning Competition featuring Open, Beginner and Junior draws; and at another location in the Showgrounds, Pony Club Novelty Events run by the Kilkivan Pony Club. There'll also be novelty foot races in the grounds - including a Chastity Race (!) - for non-riders. Everyone is welcome.

- A 12 Digital Detox Habits workshop conducted by Tanya from My Melting Pot and Renee from The Glo Project will be held at Trilby Retreat at 1710 Memerambi Barkers Creek Road in Nanango from 9:00am to 1:30pm today. The workshop will teach participants how to reconnect with themselves and fulfil their potential, and there'll be a bit of Hatha Yoga thrown in for good measure. NaTDA Adopt A Spot Clean-Up - Nanango
- The Nanango Tourism and Development Association will be running a quarterly clean-up of their adopted section of the D'Aguilar Highway between the Tarong turn-off and Brown Street, south of Nanango, from 8:00am to around 10:00am this morning. NaTDA members run an emu parade along both sides of the highway to pick up litter and keep this stretch looking spotless, and have done it for several years now. Anyone who'd like to assist is very welcome - BYO litter picking equipment - and this morning's community effort will be followed by a sausage sizzle at Tipperary Flat. More details? Rock & Roll Dance Lessons - Nanango
- Rock & Roll Dance Lessons will be held at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango from 1:00pm to 3:00pm this afternoon. The cost for a 2-hour lesson is $10 and beginners are very welcome. Kragra Gold Watch Campdraft & Gymkhana
- The second (and final) day of the two-day Kragra Gold Watch Campdraft and Gymkhana will be held at the Kragra campdraft grounds today and tomorrow. This year's event will include Maiden, Juvenile, Junior, Novice and Open rounds, plus a Futurity for horses four years old and under. There’ll also be a Gymkhana (with five age groups) and a Mini Draft (for riders under 8 years). Today's action gets underway at 7:00am and includes the Chinchilla Toyworld Juvenile Campdraft ($250); the QGC Junior Draft ($80); Newcombe Charbray's Novice Campdraft ($2100); and the second and final rounds of the Scouller Plant Hire Open Campdraft ($2400) which ran its first round yesterday.
