South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
South Burnett Regional Council Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its first meeting since the March 19 local government elections at the Glendon Street Council Chambers in Kingaroy at 9:00am this morning. At this commencement meeting, a Deputy Mayor will be appointed, times will be set for future Council meetings, and any urgent general business will be dealt with. Meetings are open to the public.
South Burnett Regional Council Special Meeting
Following this morning's statutory post-election meeting (see above), the SBRC will also be holding a special meeting at 2:00pm this afternoon to decide the future of the Lady Flo Bjelke-Petersen Community Hospital. This meeting is open to the public.
Makers, Bakers & Growers Markets - Kingaroy
Boots & Bulldust will be running the weekly Makers, Bakers and Growers Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett and surrounding areas, along with great hand-crafted pizzas, and are held at O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group
The Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group will be holding a meeting at Graham House at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. MRV Tarong Basin Coal Presentation - Nanango
Moreton Resources will be giving three presentations about its proposed MRV Tarong Basin Coal Project in Kingaroy at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango today - one from 7:30am to 9:00am for early birds; the second from 12:30pm to 2:00pm; and the third from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Each presentation will cover the progress of the project and allow attendees the opportunity to ask questions and clarify information points. Thursday Evening Futsal - Kingaroy

Old Time Dancing Classes - Murgon
Old Time Dancing will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon at 1:00pm to 2:30pm this afternoon. The class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced, all in a fun and social atmosphere lead by a qualified dance instructor. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
