Back To School
The second term of the 2016 school year begins today and all school-age children attending State schools are required to return to class this morning. Term 2 will conclude on Friday, June 24 with a sixteen day Winter break. Motorists should take note that reduced speed limits around school grounds also begin to apply from today and they can face a steep fine for exceeding them - so drive slowly. Proston QCWA Crafts Group Meeting

Graham House Community Kitchen - Murgon
After a three week break for the Easter school vacation, the Graham House Community Kitchen will be resuming its regular Monday morning meetings at the Graham House Community Centre in Taylor Street, Murgon from 10:00am to around 12:00 noon this morning. Community Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results. Seniors Having A Ball - Murgon
- The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a "Seniors Having A Ball" exercise class from 8:30am to 9:30am this morning. The program is designed to address the issues that many have with ageing and it's not just for seniors! It provides light exercise to keep the heart and joints moving, improving coordination and mobility. It also provides a beginner platform to start any fitness activity on. As well as physical fitness, it also has a fun social atmosphere too. The class fee is just $4 for PCYC members or $7 for non-members. More details? Quota Kingaroy Changeover Dinner
- Quota International Kingaroy will be holding its annual Changeover Dinner at the Pioneer Restaurant upstairs at 100 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm (for 6:30pm) this evening. Tonight's dinner also marks the club's 40th anniversary, and both existing, former and potential new members are very welcome. Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
