KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy

The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its third Meet & Greet for 2016 at South Burnett Garage Doors at 168 Haly Street, Kingaroy at 5:15pm this evening (meeting gets underway at 5:30pm). Tonight's meeting will be addressed by owner Derek Charlwood, who'll be making an announcement about the new B&D brand and some other innovations that will excite anyone with a bit of geek in them. A $10 admission fee applies and everyone is welcome, whether they're KCCI members or not. QCWA Kumbia Branch Meeting And Get-Together

The QCWA Kumbia Branch in Bell Street will be opening its doors at 9.00am this morning for a cuppa, followed by its monthly branch meeting at 9:30am. After this formality has been attended to, though, members focus on friendship and fun through sharing their skills in traditional and contemporary art and handcraft activities for the remainder of the morning and into the afternoon. Kingaroy QCWA Craft Day

The Kingaroy branch of the QCWA will be holding one of their regular Craft Days at the QCWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy today (just next to Kingaroy RSL) from 9:00am to around 12:00 noon. Candlewicking is being taught this month, but you're very welcome to come along and pursue your own craft if you prefer. Branch craft days are always very social mornings and guests are welcome come along, enjoy a great morning tea and share the fun of learning a craft together, or just enjoy a natter and friendship. Craft Days are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

2016 Kingaroy Eisteddfod

The annual Kingaroy Eisteddfod will begin today at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy and run through until May 7, after which it will conclude with a Gala Concert on Saturday, May 14. Today - and for the next five days - the Eisteddfod will be judging dance solos, duos and trios. Spectators are very welcome.

Tuesday Night Basketball - Kingaroy

The Tuesday night men's basketball competition will be running at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium from 4:30pm onwards this evening. Five A-grade and six B-grade sides will battle it out, and spectators are very welcome.

The Proston Men's Shed in the old railway station building in Railway Park on Rodney Street will be holding its regular weekly meeting today, kicking off with a cuppa at 10:00am. New members are always welcome.

Country Crafters Meeting - Blackbutt

Brazilian Body Tone Workshop - Murgon

The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a Brazilian Body Tone Class from 4:30pm to 5:30pm this afternoon in their upstairs fitness studio. The class is based on the principles behind the well-known "Brazilian Butt Lift" and while the focus is on your lower body, it will help sculpt and tone your entire body in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Danny's Diner - Kingaroy

Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough.
