There'll be all the usual show fun including woodchopping (9:30am); blacksmithing and hot shoeing (10:00am); harness racing (11:15am); cutting in the rodeo area (noon) and chainsawing and wood splitting (1:00pm). The Show will be officially opened with a Grand Parade at 2:00pm, followed by the harness racing final at 2:30pm and the Jane Erkens Band at 3:00pm, then a rodeo from 4:00pm. There'll also be a sculpture and firewood auction at 7:30pm; a Local Heroes Challenge at 7:45pm; and then the Heritage Community Bank Fireworks Display at 8:00pm, followed by live entertainment from Celtic Psychosis at 8:30pm and some Motocross and FMX racing out on the main arena at 9:00pm. Other features of this year's Show to look out for include a big Sideshow Alley, lots of great amusement rides and Peppa Pig. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for pension card holders and children over 14. Children under 14 accompanied by a paying adult are admitted free, otherwise they're $6 too. A bar, BBQ and lots of food stalls will be operating in the grounds throughout the day and well into the night as well. More details? Phone the Show Society office on (07) 4163-1273. You can also find out more details on the Nanango Show Society's website.
A Tribute To The King - Kingaroy
If you love Elvis, get along to the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy tonight for a triple treat. Performers Jeff Hancox, Kingsley Rock and Stuey V. will be staging "A Tribute To The King" and since they're all accomplished performers, it promises to be a really outstanding show. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the show will get underway at 7:30pm. Tickets are $40 per head - which includes supper - but children under 5 can get in for free. There are also family tickets available (2 adults plus 2 children under 15) for $100. A licensed bar will be operating - so no BYO - and bookings are essential for catering purposes. You can make one by phoning Jeff on (07) 4162-5151.
Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers Muster - Boondooma
The fourth day of the 6-day Spirit Of The Bush Balladeers & Heritage Muster will be held at Boondooma Homestead at 8262 Durong-Mundubbera Road, Boondooma today. The Muster routinely attracts 700 to 800 caravanners plus day-trippers, and in addition to bucketloads of non-stop great music there'll also be great camp oven meals, a licensed bar, BBQ, stalls, displays of vintage cars and engines, photography and historical items. Tickets are $95 for the full six days of the festival, or $25 if you just want a day pass for today only (children under 15 are free). Bush camping is available on-site and can be booked by phoning the Homestead's caretakers on (07) 4168-0159. You can also get a full program of this year's Muster in PDF format by clicking here.

The cost of the meeting is $15 (which includes a meal, dessert, soft drinks, and tea/coffee), but young blokes under 15 can attend for free.
