South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Healthy Weight Week - Wondai and Kingaroy
This week is Australia's Healthy Weight Week and to mark it, RHealth and the South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a series of Health Pit Stops across the region this week to raise awareness about healthy eating and cooking. Each Health Pit Stop will offer visitors the opportunity to get a free health check by a local Community Nurse; a cooking demo where you can taste-test a healthy recipe; and free information about all the different Healthy Communities programs that will be running in the South Burnett this year. Today there'll be two Pit Stops running: one outside the Wondai IGA in Mackenzie Street between 10:00am and 2:00pm; and the second at Kingaroy Shoppingworld from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Kingaroy Darts Association AGM & Muster

Cyberbullying Seminar - Kingaroy
A free Cyberbullying Seminar led by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg will be held at Kingaroy State School from 6:30pm to 8:00pm this evening. The seminar is aimed at parents of adolescents and the topics that will be discussed are cyberbullying (what it is; what to do if it happens; and how to prevent it) and youth and child mental health matters. Dr Carr-Gregg is one of Australia's highest profile psychologists who worked for many years as an Associate Professor in Melbourne University's Department of Pediatrics before going into private practice. He's also a founding member of the National Centre Against Bullying and has been the agony aunt for Australia's biggest selling young women's magazine Girlfriend for the last six years, as well as making regular TV appearances on Sunrise and The Morning Show. Taras Hall Bingo - Nanango
Bingo games will be held at Taras Hall immediately next to Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 10:00am this morning. Everyone is welcome!
QCWA Card-Making Day - Kingaroy
The QCWA will be running a Card Making Day at Kingaroy Shoppingworld from 9:00am to 12:30pm and again from 1:30pm to 4:30pm today as a fun school holiday activity for children of all ages. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.

South Burnett poet Priscilla Ransley will be giving an Authors Talk at the Kingaroy Library in Glendon Street, Kingaroy at 10:00am this morning. Thursday Tai Chi Class - Wondai
The first week of a 6-week Tai Chi class will begin running at The Studio at the rear of the Wondai Regional Art Gallery at 9:30am this morning. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
