Back To School
The first term of the 2013 school year begins today and all school-age children are required to return to class this morning. Term 1 will conclude on Thursday 29th March with a seventen day Easter break. Motorists should take note that reduced speed limits around school grounds also begin to apply from today and they can face a steep fine for exceeding them - so drive slowly.

Kingaroy Swimming Club Meeting
The Kingaroy Swimming Club will be holding their regular Tuesday Club Night meeting at the Kingaroy Swimming Pool at the corner of Alford and William Streets, Kingaroy from 6:00pm onwards this evening. Coffee & Cake Morning - Wondai
The Lively 50's & 60's Singles Social Group will be holding a coffee and cake social morning at Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai between 10:00am and 12:00 noon today. Lively50s&60s is a social group for women and men between 50 and 69 to allow them to get together for fun, social activities and merriment. SBRC Preferred Supplier List Meeting - Wondai
- The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a special public meeting at Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street at 6:00pm this evening to explain to local tradies, equipment suppliers and general suppliers how to get themselves on the council's Preferred Suppliers List. Under the requirements of the Local Government Act, the SBRC creates a new list every two years and they use this list to source quotes for their purchasing requirements. The Council spends about $22 million a year on goods and services and they're keen to see as many local tradies and suppliers on the list as possible.
