Working With Clay Workshop - Kingaroy
Jumping Ant Arts will be holding a special one day "Working With Clay" workshop at the Kingaroy Information, Art and Heritage Precinct in Haly Street from 9:00am onwards this morning. The workshop has been organised by local artists and is tailored for beginners or children aged 10 and up. The project for the day will be producing an echidna using the 'pinch pot' technique (see photo). The course fee is $10 - which covers the cost of clay and other supplied mateials - but you'll also need to bring a couple of plastic shopping bags; a rag or old hand towel; a pencil; a wooden spoon; an old EFTPOS card or similar for smoothing clay; and a spray bottle. - The South Burnett Carers Social & Information Group will be holding its regular monthly meeting in the Tobruk Room of Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am and 12:30pm this morning. The group is open to anyone who acts as a carer. It's designed to provide a social and networking outlet for carers, who often find themselves isolated by their role.
