White Dove Ball - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy-based not-for-profit group South Burnett Peace Of Mind will be holding its second annual White Dove Dinner Dance at the Kingaroy Town Hall from 6:30pm onwards this evening (dinner will be served at 7:00pm). South Burnett Peace of Mind operates a drop-in centre at St John’s Lutheran Hall, and the dinner and dance is a special social opportunity for residents who have been attending their centre to socialise, but it's also open to other members of the community who'd like to attend. The dinner will be prepared by Judy Crawford Catering, and entertainment will be supplied by popular local band Wholehearted and special guests. There'll also be complimentary non-alcoholic punch served to guests on arrival, and soft drinks and juices will be on sale all night. Tickets are $50 for adults or $35 for concessions, and need to be pre-booked to help plan the catering. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
