Obedience and Rally O Trial - Nanango
- The Nanango & District All Breeds Kennel Club will be holding the second (and final) day of their weekend-long Obedience and Rally O Trial at the Nanango Sports Fields in Burnett Street, Nanango from 7:00am this morning to around 6:30pm this evening. Charity Bowls Day - Murgon
- The Castra Ladies Auxiliary will be holding a Charity Bowls Day at the Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street from 11:00am onwards today to help raise funds for a much-needed ECG machine at Castra. Apart from fun bowls matches - please wear soft-soled shoes or go barefoot - there'll also be a BBQ lunch, a jumping castle and face painting for children, a lucky door prize, raffles and many more prizes to be won. Tickets are $20 for adults ($10 if you're nor playing bowls) and $5 for under-18s, and everyone is welcome!
Kingaroy Kindy Movie Night
- The Kingaroy Kindy will be holding a Movie Night at Kingaroy's Satellite Cinema at 5:00pm this evening as a fundraiser (screening starts at 5:30pm sharp). The featured movie will be "The Intern" (rated M), a comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, and light refreshments will be provided as well. There'll also be raffles and a money board. Open Mic Afternoon At The Palace - Nanango
- The Palace Hotel at 77 Drayton Street in Nanango will be holding an Open Mic Jam Session from 2:00pm to around 7:00pm this afternoon, hosted by Mr Q. Anyone is welcome to put their name up on the blackboard and - when their turn comes - perform up to 20 minutes of originals or covers. All PAs, guitars and drums will be provided by Mr Q and there'll be Reel Pizzas on hand from 1:00pm to 7:00pm if you get peckish. Bluefin Championship - Lake Boondooma
- The second (and final) day of the BASS Australia Nation Bluefin Championship will be running from 5:00am this morning at Lake Boondooma, near Proston, with the final weigh-in taking place at 10:30am. After this there'll be prize-giving, with one lucky winner being presented with a $30,000 Bluefin boat. Spectators are very welcome.
