Bloomin Beautiful Blackbutt Trivia Night - Blackbutt
A Bloomin Beautiful Blackbutt Trivia Night will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Coulson Street from 7:00pm onwards this evening as a fundraiser for the 2014 BBB Festival. The theme for the night is the letter "B" - no surprise! - and if you dress up to it you could be in the running for some great prizes. There'll also be games and raffles; a licensed bar in operation; and supper provided. Tickets are $100 per group of 8 or $15 per head (individuals and teams of less than 8 will be combined). Everyone is welcome! Tickets can be obtained in advance from Karen at the Blackbutt Council Office in Hart Street or by phoning her on (07) 4163-0033, but some will also be available at the door tonight unless the event is completely sold out.
Bruzz Final Gig - Wondai
- Popular local duo Bruzz (Andrew Beckett and Guy Davis) will be playing their final gig from 8:00pm til late tonight at the Hotel Cecil in Mackenzie Street, Wondai. Bruzz have been performing around the South Burnett for the past four years but are heading back to where it all began in 2009 for their last performance.

- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular weekly Social Competition Night from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. This is a 3-a-side event with a $5 playing fee, and a fully licensed bar will be operating along with raffles. New players are always very welcome, and the club caters for all skill levels from novice to expert. - The Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding Friday Night Social Bowls from 6:00pm onwards this evening (bar opens at 4:00m; games start at 6:30pm). The $15 green fee includes all games and a great BBQ dinner, and it's open to bowlers and non-bowlers alike - just wear soft-soled shoes or go barefoot. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 11:00am to 1:00pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $35 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
