Jest Call Me Cowboy - Kingaroy

The Nanango Theatre Company will be debuting their latest theatre-restaurant production "Jest Call Me Cowboy" at the Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy at 7:00pm this evening. This hilarious new show spoofs the cowboys and indians genre, and has been written by South Burnett playwright Judith Prior. Blue Light Skating - Nanango

The Nanango Blue Light Disco committee will be holding their regular third Friday of the month U13s To U18s Skating Night at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango from 6:00pm to 9:00pm tonight. Greet, Meet & Eat - Yarraman

A "Greet, Meet & Eat" social function will be held at St Phillips Anglican Church Hall in Millar Street, Yarraman from 10:00am until around 1:00pm today. The group was formed in May 2012 to provide a safe place where locals from Yaraman, Blackbutt and Cooyar could get together, enjoy each other's company and meet others in a low-cost way, and it's met on the third Friday of each month ever since (except for December and January). Today's meeting will kick off at 10:00am with a cuppa and will be followed by a three-course lunch at 12:00 noon. Blue Light Disco - Murgon

A Murgon Blue Light Disco for primary school age children will be held at the Diggers Room in the Murgon Services Club in Lamb Street, Murgon between 6:30pm and 8:30pm this evening. The $4 admission fee includes a hot dog dinner and there'll be some great prizes to be won as well. Blue Light discos are drug, alcohol and tobacco free and are fully supervised by local police, Apexians, Lions and other volunteers. Murgon State High School will be holding their Year 12 Formal at the Murgon Town Hall in Gore Street, Murgon tonight. Students will begin making their arrivals from 5:40pm and the formal will begin at 7:00pm. Gore Street will be closed between Lamb and Stephens Street from 5:00pm to 7:00pm to allow for Formal arrivals. The school's Graduation Ceremony will be held at 10:00am at Murgon State High School, and all parents and citizens are welcome to attend it.

Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy

The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy

The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 11:00am to 1:00pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $35 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
