Services Charity Lawn Bowls Day - Murgon
- A special Services Charity Lawn Bowls Day to raise funds for dual amputee Shona Muckert will be held at the Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street, Murgon from 12:30pm onwards today. Shona is attempting to raise $75,000 for some revolutionary surgery that may allow her to walk again, and today's $25-per-head get together is part of a region-wide fundraising effort to assist her. The Bowls Day is open to young and old, whether you're a bowls player or not, and includes lawn bowls games from 1:00pm followed by an evening meal and live entertainment at night (but if you want to skip the bowls and just come for the meal and entertainment, tickets are $20). A $10 playing fee applies, but that includes a great BBQ lunch. Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
- The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their final bi-monthly Sunday social for 2013 at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:30am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists.
