Kingaroy State High School Year 12 Formal
Kingaroy State High School's Year 12 Formal will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. Glendon Street will be closed between Alford and Haly Streets from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Nanango State High School Year 12 Formal
Nanango State High School's Year 12 Formal will be held at the Nanango State High School Hall in Elk Street, Nanango at 6:00pm this evening.
Chat With The Mayor - Blackbutt
South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann will be at the SBRC's Blackbutt offices in Hart Street today for informal chats with locals about any issues of concern they have that Council may be able to assist with. You can make an appointment by phoning Bronwyn at the SBRC on (07) 4189-9155.
Mid-Week Farmers Markets - Kingaroy
Growing The Burnett will be holding their second Mid-Week Farmers Markets in Kingaroy today (and every Thursday until Christmas). Last week's markets kicked off with 11 stall-holders selling everything from farm-fresh produce to fresh honey, and this week's markets should be a bit bigger again. The markets will be held in O'Neill Square opposite the Carrollee Hotel in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 7:30am to 12:00 noon - and you can read more about them on our website. Play 500 - Murgon
The Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding their regular Thursday morning 500 card games from 9:30am onwards this morning. Admission is $4.00 (which includes a cuppa) and new players are very welcome! More details? Phone (07) 4168-4971
Thursday Morning Zumba - Nanango
Zumba dance fitness classes will be held at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango at 9:00am this evening. The class fee is $5 and everyone is welcome.
Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Nansango Uniting Church in Gipps Street at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Thursday Morning Social Bowls - Wondai

Women's Shed - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Women's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The shed is open to all women who'd enjoy the companionship of other women while undertaking woodwork, metalwork or similar projects or who'd just enjoy a chat. More details? Apex Club Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Apex Club will be holding their regular fortnightly dinner meeting at the Australian Hotel's Steakhouse in Lamb Street, Murgon between 7:00pm and 9:30pm this evening (dinner is served at 7:30pm). Apex is a community service organisation that accepts men and women between the ages of 18 and 45 and new members are very welcome!

Lift For Life Session - Blackbutt
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be holding a gold coin donation "Lift For Life" strength training program at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 1:00pm to 2:00pm this afternoon. This new program - which offers a six-month, low cost course in strength training for people of all ages and fitness levels - will help prevent and/or manage Type 2 diabetes and other chronic health conditions. Lift For Life sessions are held twice-weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and if you plan to attend you should bring comfortable shoes, a towel, a water bottle and (if applicable) medication. St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. AA meets in Kingaroy every Thursday from 7:30pm at the "Biscuit Tin", behind St Mary's Church Hall, 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy. For more information, phone (07) 4164-6226.
